CoroWise™ plant sterols

Visit site

Corowise logo inpage Phytosterols, commonly referred to as plant sterols, are plant lipids that are naturally present in vegetables, fruits and grains. Just as cholesterol is present in all animals, plants have a “sterol” of their own that’s natural cholesterol blocker. Plant sterols’ structure is similar to animal cholesterol, but is not absorbed liked cholesterol. When digesting a meal, plant sterols compete with cholesterol and help to block its absorption. In fact, the efficacy of plant sterols is supported by 50 years of clinical research indicating that eating plant sterols can significantly lower LDL cholesterol.

Benefits:

  • CoroWise™ plant sterols are available in several forms to suit different applications
  • Stable across a wide range of temperatures and pH levels
  • Helps to reduce LDL cholesterol
